A bedroom that looked like a box was converted into a makeshift kitchen.
The owner of the unit has decided to sell it after being left to rot and become a home for rats.
The home, which has no running water, was abandoned for two years before being purchased by a builder who decided to use the unused space for a new home.
The house in the village of Stonewall, in South Wales, was sold last year by its owner, who said he did not know if he would be able to fix the problem and that he would have to sell the house to buy the land to do so.
The owner told the Daily Mail that the home has been abandoned for more than two years and that the owner has been unable to sell due to lack of funds.
The tenant said the house has become a “bedroom motel” with rats running around.
The property has been converted into an open shelved kitchen with a shed and the landlord said it was in dire need of work.
The new owner said the landlord has not been able to get a new lease, which he said could cost as much as £4,000.
“They’ve got a house, I’ve got no job, I have no income and I’m on benefits and that’s it,” the tenant said.
“I’m a tenant, I’m trying to work, and I can’t afford it.”
If it was just a bedroom motel, I’d be able have a kitchen but it’s got rats running all over the place.
“The owner said that he has contacted local councils in the area and has tried to contact councils to help.
